I am a native of Greensboro, North Carolina. I attended Appalachian State University my freshman year as an undergraduate, where I majored in biology before transferring to UNC Greensboro. UNCG is where I found my love for learning, plants, and natural history. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Minor Chemistry) from UNCG in 2014. I received my Master of Science in Biology at UNCG in Spring 2019 and am currently a PhD student in the Environmental Health Sciences program at UNCG. I enjoy reading, cats, spending time with family and friends, and especially wandering in the wilderness.
